Rayaq is a village that has known multiple key moments throughout the years. Bekaa’s heart was beating on each departure of Rayaq’s train where all the merchants used to meet, to go to their destinations. Today, most of the visitors of Rayaq stopover to enjoy its stunning nature and to relive the historical moments while visiting the ancient sites and monuments. The youth of are currently adding their touches to the whole “ Experience” by mixing the antique cachet to the new blood of the village, making the visit as memorable as possible.
Things to do in Rayaq
Agriculture is important in Rayaq thanks to the fertile soil, so are exports of local agricultural products especially in summer and at the beginning of autumn. Moreover, horse breeding is popular in Rayaq due to its vast green nature.
For those who don’t know where Rayaq is located and what it embraces, here’s a sneak peek: throughout history, the Beqaa danced to the beat of Rayaq’s railway and traders roamed its street. Today, people visit Rayaq to enjoy its beautiful scenery or to discover a history that was marked by wars and eras from the ancient times.
